TESU ABSN Winter 2022 COHORT

Hi everyone! I know I met a few people on here who were originally offered acceptance into the May 2022 cohort for the Thomas Edison State ABSN program, but were offered a spot in the new Winter 2022 cohort starting January 2022. I just wanted to make a group for all of us planning on attending!

I was so excited when I got the email saying that they were creating a new Winter cohort! Are any of you commuting from a far distance or do you live near the school?

@Nursing27 me too! Not what I was expecting at all. I’ll be commuting about an hour west, I live near Forked River currently. What about you?

I will be commuting a little over an hour. Did anyone receive any additional information for the upcoming cohort?

No, I emailed someone this week when I accepted the Winter offer and she said we would be receiving detailed info the end of the week. So hopefully tomorrow!

My commute will be about a half-hour. I received the orientation email earlier today. I'm assuming you guys did too?

This is gonna be a silly question, but how do you guys intend on maintaining health insurance? I know it’s one of the requirements for the program. I’m going to be leaving my job to go to school, I’m too old to be on my parent’s plan, and I have no spouse. Any ideas?

@ilr19 not a silly question at all!! Luckily I am on my parents insurance for another year, so at some point I will have to get my own during the program. I am sure there are some resources the university can give to help figure this out. I’m also interested in knowing more for the future!
