So I had a super busy shift and forgot to change out and expired bumex drip. I feel awful. Is there any side effect to this?

For the patient? No, probably not. Expiry dates and times on infusions are most often related to risk of infection than for stability. The monograph doesn't give a specific reason for changing the infusion q24h, that's based on the manufacturer recommendation.

If drips suddenly became toxic/unstable/dangerous at the 24 hour mark- well, there would be a LOT less people in the world!
