Motlow fall 2013

U.S.A. Tennessee

Hey everyone! So I have applied for the fall 2013 semester and was hoping to get in contact with some other hopefuls.... I'm sure we are all feeling the anxiety as the application deadline nears!! I was wondering if anyone would share their gpa and HESI scores... My gpa is only a 3.2 and I got a 92 on my HESI for MTSU and take my test for motlow next month... I look forward to hearing from everyone and good luck!!!

2bRNFarmer, so your points total was a 700 and you got in last year, correct? mine is a 698 so your score makes me very hopeful!

I had a 4.0 and made a 93.5 on the hesi (so my score was over 750). There were quite a few scores that were considerably less. I think 700 is on the lower end if I remember correctly. You have a good shot with 698.

I was reading the wrong person :)

Have you graduated yet, or are you finishing up your first year at Motlow? How are you liking the classes? Do you feel as if you're really learning and retaining the information? For the students who aren't doing as well as others, do you know what they are doing wrong?

I have 5 weeks left in my second semester. It is exhausting, I'll not lie. The instructors are fantastic (all but one or two anyway). There is just so much to learn in such a short amount of time. It's not so much the tests/class that is hard, it's the clinical paperwork and returns that are the major stressors.

Thanks for replying & for being so honest. The anticipation of awaiting a decision is about to kill me! I really, really hope I get accepted. Good luck w/ the rest of your journey. :)

Hey everyone, I looked at the nursing website today to see if there was an announcement regarding when emails would go out and sure enough there was.... It is saying not until the end of April.... It also said that all emails may not be sent on the same day and it will take a couple days to get them all out....

I called the school on Monday & late April is what I was told, too. Oh, I hope I get accepted! Good luck to you all! I just don't understand why it takes so long to 'decide'. Any ideas?

From what I understand, it's the instructors who go through the apps and HESI scores to determine who gets in.... They are also teaching classes

Well, I guess that makes more sense. I had NO idea it is the instructors who review HESI scores and GPAs; I just assumed people from 'Admissions' would be the ones who ranked applicants. I hope my application and accompanying documents don't get lost! Even though Motlow is saying it will be the end of April, I'm still checking my email at least thrice daily!

Do you know of anyone, other than yourself, who has applied to the nursing program? I think there are just a couple of other girls who are in my A&P II class who've applied, other than me.

I'm taking microbiology and my entire class applied except for the six who are already in the program!!!!!! It's insane!!!!
