So I applied to the LPN program in Crossville and my test scores were passing. I'm feeling confident that I'll get in for January:)! There are no words to describe fully how excited I am to finally start a nursing program:)!
I just had a few questions about the program in general. I just moved to this city and every other school/nursing program is at least 45 minutes away. My personal career goals are to complete this program and graduate from TCAT and then Eventually move on the do the bridge
Courses to become an RN at another school that offers them.
Has anyone else from TCAT done similar things? Become an RN after? My ultimate goal is to be in labor and Delivery or NICU.
Is anyone else starting in Jan? And anyone that's been through the program any advice or tips are great! I don't know as much about the school itself so any words help!

I just graduated from TCAT Dickson's Clarksville Campus in Aug and found out today I passed the NCLEX...just found that out today. I am going to bridge to RN and I know I want me BSN but I am nearly 42 so I just have to do it and see how it goes. I do know people from our program went onto RN and one I heard of went on to NP. It isn't an easy course...very fast paced. You have to be very focused. Don't let outside stress cause you to lose your way in school.
I am one who looks up info if I don't understand out it is taught to me..so I found online picture mnemonics and outside books like the "Incredibly Easy" series of books. So don't be afraid to look up outside info. Our teachers discouraged it but it helped me out. I just made sure the info I found out there was what they wanted me to know.
Good luck
Awesome! Thank you so much. I've transferred and had to move around a lot so I'm ready to go ahead and get started in an actual program!
My experience hasn't had much going on. Not sure if that's good or bad haha. I took my compass and have submitted fasfa, application, records etc. I am working on getting my recommendations together then there is some kindof of orientation thing in November I am supposed to go to. I was really worried about getting in but so far most of the staff I've talked to has said not to worry about it.
I know in our program they had over 200 people apply but only 25 got in. We had a smaller class than most TCATs. We had 13 students at graduation, so like I said keep outside stress at bay, keep out of drama, and keep studying.
