Can I get a temporary license if I took the NCLEX and failed already?

No. A temporary license in states that still offer them is for nursing school grads who have not yet taken NCLEX at all. Once the results are known, the candidate either is granted a full license if pass or can no longer practice as a new grad nurse under their temporary license which will become null and void if fail. It is not able to be utilized between attempts.
