I have been a nurse for 8 years and prior to that worked as a Medical Assistant. Now that my family is growing I am looking for a Telecommute job or work from home nursing job. I have applied for a few jobs but....nothing yet. Wondering if anyone currently works from home or telecommutes and has any advice or works for a great company I should look into?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

A local health insurance provider does offer some work-from-home positions, but that is only after roughly 18 months on the job, in the office full-time training.

I would love to hear about some of these also. I am looking for a job that will fit into our family's schedule a little better myself.

These types of jobs can be just as stressful as 'normal' ones. Many companies have a very stringent productivity system - you're basically an independent contractor and you are only paid on how much you produce. Telephone triage work is continuously monitored to ensure that you are compliant with all their guidelines. There's no way you can do them while multi-tasking (watching kids, housework, etc).
I have no kids, and don't mind actually working. So this might be a good fit.
