Is it wise to take the TEAS test before taking anatomy or physiology. I am eager to take it, but am very hesitant to take it before taking those 2 classes. I just want to have enough time to re-take it if necessary. I am planning to apply to a few nursing programs that accept students for the spring semester. I'd have to have my TEAS test done by the end of Aug. or so. I'm hoping and praying I get into at least anatomy during the summer, so that I'd be able to take physio during the fall semester.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciate :)

When are you applying? I would not see any advantage in taking it early.

If you have a good knowledge base of A&P already and can go through the ATI study book without freaking out and thinking "What in the world does this mean?" then you probably wouldn't have trouble. The science portion has chemistry as well, so that's something to think about. Besides that, there is the math section, the reading section, and the English section. Definitely get the ATI book to use as a study guide.

Hi, I took the TEAS V and I have not taken any pre-reqs yet(starting this summer). I have been out of high school about 5 years now, with no college credits at all. I started studing about a month before and did pretty well (for being out of school for awhile). I got an 87 in reading 96 in math 75 in science and 70 in english. I would buy the study book that ATI makes and study it like crazy. There were questions in the science section that were not covered in the study guide so I am sure that taking those classes can only benefit someone. Why not take it and see how you do, you can always try again! Hope this helps!
Thanks everyone!
I am not going into the test completley blind. I already have my BS in Biology, so as far as all the other sciences go, I'm solid. Anatomy and physiology weren't required for my other degree, hence the reason I still need to take them.
I am applying Aug of this year to hopefully start nursing school fall 2014.
I've already ordered the ATI study guide, I'm just waiting for it to arrive.
I just wanted to see how heavily and in depth anatomy/physio are tested on the TEAS exam.
Is it possible to learn it on my own to the extent I need to know?
