Teas 6 exam errors

I took the teas 6 exam a couple days ago and did not do so well. Also i dont understand how this test is scored because i got 9 wrong on the reading section and that should of been an 81percent not 74.5 percent none of it added up to me? Not only that, but the break down of the scores seemed wrong as well. For the science section i did not get a score on the science reasoning i spoke with the proctor as well as the ati service center and they said i must have left those blank which i did not. Yea i purposely went through the exam and paid $70 and just left them blank. B.S. Maybe I am wrong I hope I am because Im not even going to retry a second go if the scores are rigged.

It's hard to say exactly what may be wrong (or not) with your scores since it'd require looking at the score report.

I can say that mine added up right, and the percentages were correctly calculated. It seems like that isn't a common problem.

Pretty much they could care less and are not going to do anything about it.

Did it have a break down of each subsection? And did it calculate how many you got right by how many total questions were on each subsection. For exp; i got 9 wrong on the reading part, which is 38 right. 38/47 is an estimated 81%. Also did it have a break down of each subsection with in the section for exp; Science/A&P/Physical science/Science reasoning.

I forgot the name of the second subsection in the science part but you get the jist. Because i recieved a score for a&p and the second but no score for science reasoning. I asked about it and they said i left those answers blank which i did not.

There are 170 total questions on the teas 6 exam but only 150 are graded questions. The exam doesn't differentiate between what is and isn't graded. That's probably why the math you did doesn't add up on your reading section score.

My score report from Nov of last year just gives a breakdown of the sections I missed a question on. If I didn't miss anything from that section, it isn't listed.

For instance, I missed one question from the a section in the Reading, so it gives me:

"Key Ideas and Details - (22 items, 95.5% answered correctly)

Identify specific information from a printed communication. (ATI TEAS Study Manual R.1.5)"

That's just telling me I got 95.5% of that section correct. From there, I can figure out that this means that I got 21 items, or 95.5%, from that section correct, and thus missed 1. I can go to the other sections, do the same, and figure out exactly how many I got wrong. My score report now doesn't seem to give me an actual number of questions I got wrong, and I can't remember if it ever did.

The scores actually exclude the questions that aren't graded (now perhaps?). There are 53 questions for the reading, and it shows only 47 on the score report. That accounts for the 6 ungraded questions.

This is your answer.

Yea thats what i thought too that if the subsection didnt show up then i must of got them all right, which should be a 68%. Now say I were to of not answer those questions like ati was saying then it would of been 22 wrong out of 47 which is not 61% it would be a 48 percent but my report shows 15 wrong and 7 supposed questions i did not answer and i recieved a 61 %. And in my score report it only shows what was scored. Its not out of 53 questions its out of 47.

Did you ever address the problem with ATI? Did you ever contacted your school so they can double check your score.

Hi, I don't think the scores are rigged, but I understand your frustration. ATI includes 6 extra questions in the Reading (and other) sections. These extra questions aren't scored, but ATI will not tell you which questions don't count. They say they use that information for their research. I encourage you to retake the test; please don't give up.

This test is rigged! I'm an honored student have always been...4.0 on all subjects including sciences and have taken the test 4 times and failed. I have a bachelor's degree and have always maintained high academic standing. I was soo confident I passed as it was very basic math etc but no matter what always scored less than previous times. Never had trouble taking exams except this TEAS test of hell!! All the materials I purchased from the ATI did not reflect what I was being tested on...Truth is they know who they will pass and who they won't before you take the test...

Okay I have been studying for 3 WHOLE months, I have studied EVERYTHING. There is something wrong with this test. I knew I got the reading portion right but I got a 48% in reading? BS. I did not study in depth for math but I got a 90% ? How does that even make sense. I don't know what to do
