I just took the Teas 6 today and scored a 94.7%.
Everyday after work I would study until it was time for bed for about a month. I mostly studied with the ATI teas manual and reviewed some concepts from my Anatomy and Physiology textbook. If I felt the ATI manual didn't have enough details, I would turn to my 1000 page text book. Hopefully you all kept your old textbooks! I felt most of the subjects where review.

The math portion was really easy algebra study percentage problems and fractions (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division)

Reading was super simple; you read a passage and answer questions about it. Like "what is the main topic" etc.

English was my lowest score - study verb tense agreement and sentence structure. I googled a ton of English grammar and verb tense practice quizzes and just really sat for hours doing those.

Finally science. A& P was a loved subject of mine so I studied my old textbook. Everything in the ATI manual explained what we needed to know.

    good luck!

Hello, I did exactly the same thing as Jayn and got exactly 94.7%! I studied from the official ATI exam prep book which was really good for Math and English. I didn't think it was helpful for science, so I just studied from my notes I took in Anatomy/Physio/Chem/Microbio. If you did well in those science classes, you should have a strong foundation for the science portion of the teas test. Good luck!

I studied 2 days before my test. I didnt know it was gonna be a new version either. All i had was a teas 5 study guide which was donated to me. So i read that and answered all practice questions. Got an 82%. Good enough but i couldve done better had i spent more time on a few areas of science and did a complete review in English. If youve already taken your biology prereq's and if you did well in them, then this test is kinda easy. Thats in hindsight though. Review all the basic english writing rules, basic math, and as far as science goes its a little more indepth. Know everything thats happening at the cellular level and know all about basic dna, rna, mrna, trna the who what when why where and hows. Codon pairing and all that stuff from micro and a&p I & II. Also know genes chromosones mitosis mieosis. Organelles cellular structure and fuction organ systems diiffrent human cells and location and function of each know your hormones and where they are produced and what they do. Know all about immune response and how all that works aswell as blood clot formation from beginning to end. Know what immune cells do what and where and to whom. Know reactions. Know ph. Know conversions. Know what units of measure to use and when. Know the svientific process. Just about everything from micro chemistry and A&P. Even a little cellular respiration. Oh yeah. ATP baby. Krebs cycle fermentation lactic acid. NADH. Electron transport chain. Know periodic table of elements. Ionic bonds covalent bonds what atomic mass is and hiw its calculated. Isotopes isomers oxidation reductions hydrocarbons blah blah blah. U get the point. Good luck its not complicated. Not saying its easy , just saying its simple. If you study.

I recently took the TEAS, studied for about a week, and got a 90% overall. I took it very last minute for my backup nursing program plan. I have to say, it really helped having recently taken AP 1 & 2, micro, and organic. There were some physics questions on there as well, which I was rusty on. I used a Kaplan nursing entrance exam book to study, which did help, and took a bunch of practice tests online. Science was definitely my lowest score, but I was happy with the overall percentage. Brush up on English and grammar, practice math problems, and know basic science concepts. Best of luck!

Congratulations on your score ! How well did you score on the reading portion ? My school requires a 65 or higher and I scored below that . Any advice ?

Hi! Did you guys buy the smart prep package from ATI which is like $201? Was it worth the money? Thanks!

I bought the two practice tests for about $110 or so. They were worth it. Not sure about the entire bundle though. My score turned out to be 88%.

I took my test today with about 3 months of on and off studying (not being in school sucks). I ended up passing with overall 76% (62% required): Reading 70.2%, Math 81.3%, Science 80.9%, and English 70.8%. Im surprised at how well i did in math but science was a breeze thanks to taking the test right after leaving school. My main 3 resource was Mometrix, Crash Course and Bozeman Science on YouTube (These 2 YouTube channels are the reason i passed top 5 of my class in physiology and microbiology). I took 2 out of the 3 test offered in the book and i purchased the practice test for 88$ about 4 days before the test. Pretty much from what i have seen so far, what ever you get on the practice test will be a reflection of your real score. Practice Test A 79% test B 71% really hard. Any suggestion i can give is take your science classes last if possible that you you can take the teas right after this way most material will still be fresh; ill never understand why people attempt the test with no prerequisites fail and complain.

    Hi there,

I am preparing for Teas VI test. Can anyone tell me whether or not I will be asked to write short essays on the Teas Test? Thank you,

I took the TEAS VI in March, and there were no short essays. All questions are multiple choice.

Which manual did you use to study?

    Hi everyone,

I just took the TEAS 6 yesterday and I got an 86%. I did not spend months and months studying. I did purchase the $201 ATI package and that helped. I don't think buying the whole package was necessary though. I found that the two online practice tests were the most helpful. They helped demonstrate what the actual test was going to be like. Everyone so far has said that the practice tests have been harder than the actual test. I agree and disagree with this statement. I believe that the science was much easier as well as the math. I scored 100% on the math. If you study all the topics that they want for you to study in both sections, you should do just fine. Reading was slightly more difficult than the practice tests. I was scoring in the 90s in the practice tests and got low 80s for both these sections on the actual test. I would say that if you buy the ATI book and the two online tests and use these as your study tools, you should do just fine. Hope that this helps!

Hello, I am fixing to take the Teas 6 Exam on July 7. I have been studying for about a month now, and on the ATI Teas practice exams it seems very hard for me to get above a 60% on those particular practice exams. I know people on this forum have said that the practice exams are harder but was just curious of your opinion.
