Hey everyone! I am trying to get into the nursing program at tcc this fall of 2019. I am about to take the HESI and have a 3.0 GPA. What is the average amount of points you guys had to get into the program? I know the max is 160. I have a lot riding on my HESI score! I would love study tips and advice ?

Hello! I just studied the book from the TCC bookstore for the HESI and also Ken Tellis sent me a couple links to websites that offered practice HESI tests which I think is a good idea to do a couple times. I got a 92. You're also allowed to take it a max of 2 times so if you don't do great the first time you can take it again! My prereq GPA is 3.27, so my points come out to 142. I haven't talked to anyone who has gotten in the past so please let me know if you hear anything!

Hi! I just applied for Fall 2019, so fingers crossed. The HESI really isn't that bad. I did the practice HESI test questions on www.hesi-exam.com my overall score was 96. I also used a HESI study guide, primarily for the vocab portion. Pre-req GPA 3.62, so my points total came out to 152. Plus I have the microbiology lecture and lab complete and the Humanities. Good luck!!

I'm having trouble calculating my total points and GPA. Any help? I am coming from FSU so I haven't met with anyone to break it down and I also think our grading system is different. & @jtigfutureCRNA did the HESI study guide help you with the vocab portion?
The book was decent for the vocab. I had taken a medical terminology course at FSU, so that seemed to help as well. From what I was told the GPA that is calculated is based on the prerequisites for the program. So your BSC2085&lab, BSC2086&lab, DEP2004 (I can’t remember the FSU course code for this), HUN1201, an English, a math, a psych. So it should be based on 23 credit hours.

I have submitted an application for the TCC nursing program but when going to Eagel-Net, to look at the status, it says I have no limited applications in progress. Anyone else having this problem?

I know the Fall is a lot more competitive than the spring applications so my guess the average score would be 145 and above, but that's just my guess. I don't know anyone that is in the program at this moment.
Have you guys heard of alot of applicants applying?

No I’m not having this problem. I would suggest calling up there! Also, what exciting are you clicking on? I can go look and see if it tells me something different.

I log in to Eagle-Net with Google Chrome and go to records and from there it drops down and I clicked "Limited Acess Application status" and says I have "no active limited application to display"

Oh I see what you’re talking about! I don’t think they’ve start processing them yet. I talk to somebody today and I don’t think they start processing them until Monday.
