Hi Guys!!:D Listen, last night and today I haven't been feeling all that well. I have Mitral Valve PROLAPSE,and I think it's rearing its ugly head again. I have shest discomfort and tightness, and it basically hurts to take a deep breath. I think the stress of the last month is finally catching up with me. Write back to me on what you think the symptoms mean to you. The clarification will help a lot. Oh man, I think I'll lie down for awhile and pray that the sensation passes. I'll be back. Warrior Woman.

GET TO THE ER NOW !!! DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF!!!

PLEASE!!!!

I work tele/MS. These are the S/s we ask pts to tell us about immediately.

Warriorwoman....I really hope you are already on your way to the hospital. If you are not........GET YOUR BUNS TO THE ER...STAT! If there is no one to take you......call 911! You could be suffering from an MI. My prayers are with you now. :kiss

GET YOUR TUSHIE TO THE ER...NOW!!!!

I'M back. I took 3 aspirin and lied down for about an hr. The pain has backed off. I'm pretty sure it's my mitral valve acting up again. That and the fact that I have little money and NO HEALTH INSURANCE makes me a little reluctant to go to the E.R. Plus, who would look after my folks? Warrior Woman

Dear dear Warrior Woman ((((hugs))))

Honey......if you are DEAD.......you won't be able to look after anyone anymore, so PLEEEEEZZZZZ do NOT play around with your health.....insurance or no insurance.......go to a clinic or community hospital to be seen. They can not turn you away at a county health clinic or community hospital. Do this FOR your parents and YOURSELF as well. Please...we care about you...go get seen and stop trying to diagnose yourself. What would your parents want you to do? I know this must be frightening to you, especially because you are only thirty years of age (as noted on your profile). Take this pain seriously, and do not EVER be ashamed to go for treatment. :kiss

Honey, what Renee says is exactly right. The hospital has to see and evaluate you. If it IS your MVP, they will know what to do. If it isn't, they will know what to do, and you will be relieved that it isn't that. The longer you wait, the worse things could be. If you are admitted, request a Social Service consult, and see what financial aid might be available to you. You might be surprised!
