Taking NCLEX RN June 8!!!

so i just scheduled my exam for tuesday the 8 at 2 pm. im getting nervous but i have been studying since the day after my final, which was may 13. i have finished the pd&a book, the kaplan book, almost done the new davis book...in total so far i have done over 3600 questions to prepare. i am going to brush up on my infection control and common meds and continue to do questions till tuesday. any past test takers have any other advice? was there alot of maternity and pedi on anyones? are the questions more like saunders or kaplan?

good luck! how long have you been studying for? what materials have you been using? im a nervous wreck but i feel like i couldnt wait any longer to take it

honestly, maybe a week. i just havent been able to bring myself to study that much. but this past week i have been doing about 180-200 questions/day. i have a kaplan book i bought from the bookstore and a comprehensive saunders book. i believe the reason i havent tried to stress too much is because i've taken the ncelx for my lpn and i know kind of what to expect...but im still freaking out a little. im to the point that either i know it or i dont! lol

i just did a practice exam on my davis cd and got a 63%....is that bad?

Shop, on three practice exams I have gotten a 64% on all three. And then last night I took another one and scored a 70%. I think your scores are fine, at least from what I have heard from other people. Good luck on Tuesday, mine is Wednesday. My graduation date was this past Friday.

hey kell! i just did another one of 75 questions and got a 75%! i think i am done for the night. tomorrow i think i will do some questions from the kaplan review book, since i have been reading on here that they are similar to the actual nclex exam. i will look over infection control and lab values. i have done over 4000 questions in the 4 weeks that i ahve been preparing. somehow i still feel like im not ready, but i guess noone actually feels completely ready. good luck on your exam!

I just took another practice tests using a Davis book. It was a gift from one of my clinical instructors. I did awful. Scored like a 54%, eeks. I am going to stick with my Saunders. I plan on looking over pharm, which is my weak spot. Thanks and good luck to you too. Keep us posted.

delegation, prioritization, assignment questions and also infection control, and a few on pysch, and pre op instructions for procedures and what to look foe during the procedure. i failed though but if i can help i will.
