Hi, so I just graduated school in December, and am taking my boards March 7th and I'm freaking out. I did the kaplan review course full online version and have been doing about 100 questions a day for the past few days and plan to until my NCLEX. However, whenever I am spending my time doing questions and reviewing rationales, I always feel like maybe my time would be better spent reviewing content, but then I hear different! I have been scoring about 60-65 percent on qbank and question trainers, but I do not feel confident about the answers I am selecting and feel that I am probably just getting "lucky" and won't be able to perform on NCLEX. So for any others studying or who already took the NCLEX, what do you think the best way of studying is??
Thanks :))))

stick to doing questions and rationales. but do remember questions that you had difficulty with and review that content. you just graduated so information is still fresh, just needs a little bit of reviving what you've learned from school.

I also graduated in December. I here that Kaplan questions are harder than the Nclex so don't be too alarmed. Good luck to you!!

Knowing your content is VERY important for the NCLEX...Its difficult to answer questions if you dont no the content.and NCLEX is so random, u dont no what ur going to get, so its good to know ur information. answreing questions allows u to have an idea of what questions will be about but I would do content........good luck!

I did the 100 question exams, but as I was taking the exams, I would look up anything that was unfamiliar, instead of waiting until the end. That seemed to help. Also, spend some time on SATA questions. 20 out of my 75 questions were SATA.

I refreshed my content (since I graduated last 2008) before answering questions. I feel more comfortable that way. If you think you should start w/ content, maybe that's the way to do it. And oh, while I was reviewing content, I wasn't just focused to it but I also take time to answer some practice questions right after the chapter & CD (I used Saunders btw) also at PDA.
