Hi to all,
I am taking my NCLEX-RN this coming Feb 25 and i am really anxious. I dont know if i am ready to take the test. I read about 80% of Saunders 3rd edition, took kaplan with average scores of 50-65%, and Priority, Delegation by Mosby's. But still I am not that confident to take the test.
Please give me any advise before i take the exam...:bowingpur
I really hope and pray to pass.

OK, take a deap breath! Relax, the night before and do something for you. On the morning of the test, do NOT pick up a book to study, it will only make it worse and your anxiety higher! Make sure you have a nice breakfast, leave a little early so you can arrive early and try to relax a little (I know it is difficult). The night before, make sure you have your ID and what you need ready, including your clothes for the next day.. by being prepared, you will decrease your stress! And Best wishes!

I took the test on 2/16 and I can tell you from experience, if you are a LPN forget want you know or do. It is so different as a RN. I think this is where I made my mistake, I went in answering the question the way I do things as a LPN which does not work well for this exam. Also if you are not ready for this exam if it is not too late reschedule it for a couple days later until you get your nerves together. If not good luck to you!!!!

Relax the day before. Remember your relaxation techniques during the test if you start to get flustered. And good luck!

I took the NCLEX-PN on July 5, 2008 and passed the first time with 75 questions. I went through the HURST Review classes and studied my ATI and NCLEX books. I felt like not much of this helped me. I do remember Mrs. Hurst saying "Pain never killed anybody" and pick the "Killer Answer". The killer answer means, out of all the choices, pick the one that could kill the patient. The NCLEX is all critical thinking. I had 2 Math questions on my exam. You have a calculator on your computer, and they give you a dry erase board also. My friends that took the NCLEX-RN had 4 math questions. Know your drug calculations. I hope this helps. Everyone leaves there thinking they failed. It is a bit overwhelming. There was 13 students in my nursing class, and we all passed the NCLEX-PN the first time. So just go in there and take your time and you will succeed. Goodluck! Let me know how you do. I found out my results in 2 days.

Turn off the computer now and put away each and every book. No more reviewing is the advice that I would give to you. Trying to cram anything now and it will only get you more confused.
Best of luck to you on your exam.
