Hi all,
I am planning to take Micro, Stats and Nutrition all at the same time to knock out my nursing pre-reqs for an accelerated BSN program. Is that doable? I do work full time. The classes are online through Cayuga. Does anyone think this is stupid, crazy or both? Honest feedback, y'all!
Thanks!

Definitely doable! As long as you are motivated you will be fine. Just prioritize, make use of time management skills and keep your eye on the prize. Good luck!

2 lab classes at once sounds scary to me but Nutrition, stats and micro should be fine!

It's a lot but do-able. Just be disciplined in allowing enough time to study since you are working. I took chem, stats, and nutrition this semester and got through it. Good luck!

I would say very doable. I don't work but I do have 4 children that I care for while attending school full time and while it is definately hard to manage the time it can be done. Just make sure you are disciplined with your study time and try to get into a routine. I personally feel that micro is the easiest of the sciences and stats was way easier than I aniticipated it being. Good luck to you!

You will probably have to cut back on the working if you want to do well in all these classes.
(Unless you have a job that allows you to study for many hours during work.)
If getting Cs in these classes allows you to get into a nursing program - go ahead and work full time!
Good luck.

Im wondering which Cayuga, Central NY? I just took A&P2, Micro and Nutrition at the same time on campus and did well in all three. If you can dedicate your available time with minimal interuptions you can do it!
Which Accelerated program are you applying to?

It is definitely doable. Last fall i did the same thing and i manage to get all A's. It wasn't that bad but you will need to put lot of time into it. At least your not taking Philosophy of Religion (junior level class no idea why i took it) along with those 3 classes because I did and it wasn't fun lol

I agree. It's definitely doable. I think Micro is going to take much of your time, but stats and nutrition was quite easy for me. My nutrition class was an online class and I took a kinesiology/health science stats. Both were cake. :)
If you don't mind be asking, what ABSN are you planning on applying to?

I would take stats in summer school as its hard, along the lines of college algebra. or at least take one of those in summer school.

I thought Stats wasn't bad. Nutrition seems more like a soft course than anything. Micro is where you'll have more trouble (most likely). But it is very doable.
And no. There is nothing lazy about taking classes online.
