Taking Micro and Physio and a psychology class in one semester??

Published

All I need is Micro and Physio before I can apply to the nursing program and I want to get them done!! I want to take them both in one semester, along with a somewhat easy psychology class. Is this going to be extremely hard, or is it do-able??!

It will not be easy but it is very doable. I am going to take API, Chem(Orgo/Bio),an upper-level history course (officially my major), a philosophy course (prereq for the nursing school I want), and a gen ed. Hard? yes....but doable with a well structured study schedule ( which we all have to do once we start our nursing classes....so why not just practice early?)

I plan on starting clinicals in Fall 2010 hence I have to take the classes the way I have them structured and I don't want to take any of then during the summer of 2010.

You know what your goals are so just make it happen. I have to because I refuse for ONE course to be my blockage for my nursing school start date.

I have taken Micro already (got a B+) I found the class interesting, difficult, yet very doable.

You say you are taking Physiology. Does your school break up AP into seperate classes (Anatomy...physio...)? Are you taking part I or part II?

I don't think it will be that hard considering that micro and psychology are two incredibly easy classes; physio on the other hand, I heard is the hardest pre-req, but people told me anatomy was really hard to, but it was also really easy.

I took Microbiology, Physiology, and Statistics all in the same semester. I was able to get A's in all 3...it was the hardest semester I've ever had but it was doable. I only worked about 12 hours a week which helped a lot. I studied about 20 hours a week that semester and was in class for about 13 hours a week...so i had about a 45 hour week...If that's something you can handle, I say go for it. I was in the same position as you. I had 3 classes left before I could apply and I kept on going back and forth on whether I wanted to space it out over 2 semesters or just cram it all in one. I must say, I am happy with my decision. I start nursing school this fall and I don't think I could have waited any longer.
