Take-your-time RN-BSN program

Published

I'm a handicapped RN, and one thing I really liked about the Excelsior LPN-RN program was the ability to go at my own pace. I'm looking for RN-BSN programs that will allow you to do that, also, with solid accreditation and history. I can't really tell from the Excelsior brochure if their program fits that bill or not. I just want to make a list of schools and then start doing serious research. Thanks :)

And thanks to all the faithful posters on here who really made it possible for me to get my RN degree. I could not have done it without this board, especially the CPNE. I don't know if any other wheelchair nurses have ever done it, but I want to let you know, it's possible!

WWW.wgu.edu is one of the more self paced programs out there. They do have some time limits but you complete as many/few classes per 6 month period as you choose. The downside is that they charge a flat fee per 6 months regardless of how many classes you complete. About $3,500 last time I looked
Specializes in ED.

I would add Thomas Edison State College to your list.

Specializes in Home health was tops, 2nd was L&D.

Looks like Aspen University RN-MSN program could fit your needs and actually get you a MSN! For less many then BSN....might be of interest.. other threads have quite a few recommendations. I did speak with them and asked specific questions yet another RN I know spoke to them and got a few different answers.. so I will be learning more...Good luck in your search.:)
