Hey all!
I just graduated with my BSN at the end of July from the University of Missouri and I'm starting the application process at UW, Virginia Mason, and Swedish! The Swedish residency page is slightly outdated and says they have a November 2017 cohort, anyone know if that is true for this November as well or know when that application will be posted? I've contacted the residency email they posted but haven't gotten a response. Also, I'll be in Seattle at the end of August visiting family and I am hoping to set up a shadow opportunity at any of the hospitals.
I'm taking my NCLEX in September and hope to be starting work in Oct/Nov!
Any tips on getting my foot in the door since I'm an out-of-stater is much appreciated!!
Thanks!

They are cutting positions at Swedish. They have a cohort of residents currently and I haven't heard specifically that they were not going to hire but I wouldn't hold my breath. I would look elsewhere at this point.

Check out Confluence in Wenatchee. I did a travel contract at this hospital and found it to be an excellent learning environment and receptive to people trained out of state. They frequently post openings. It isn't a difficult commute to Seattle to visit family, and cost of living is less. It's a friendly pleasant community.

How is everything on your end?
Did you go to Seattle and to RN residency program?
How is it?
