Any updates from people that go here? I recently got accepted. But attending this school would mean leaving my job since they do not offer evening classes. I'm extremely hesitant about that as I need my salary to help pay for it. I can ask for a transfer to a part time position elsewhere but it would be super inconvenient. And if I have to do it I want to make sure the school is worth it.

How come you decided with SI against SP? I've been looking at both since I want to go for May, and I know that SP is not ACEN accredited while SI is, but I've been borderline stalking the alumni lol and it seems like many of them had no issues obtaining their BSN. I've had a harder time tracking down SI alumni, or finding out information about where they do their clinicals and reviews on the program itself.

I got into SI first and I didn't realize SP would move so slowly lol. I was getting things together in case SP didn't take me. I actually found out on Monday I got into SP so I'm going with them. I saw reviews for SI on yelp. Every single nursing review was awful. Even though they have the ACEN they just don't seem to be passing their students. SP has better reviews and I agree that even though their accreditation is ABHES their nurses seem to have no issues when they continue and they get jobs when they graduate. SI is very vague. Idk if they're doing right by their nursing students.

Yeah, agreed. Congrats on getting into SP though. I really hope I can get through in May. I have to wait until late December to apply since I'll be out of the country.

So will you be taking evening classes in SP? And which site accepted you?

Thank you! Yes, I'll be doing evening classes in Queens. Which campus are you looking into?

I'm interested in the SI campus. Day classes. Hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot by choosing SI and not Queens lol. I'll be commuting from Brooklyn.

I think the SI campus may get less traffic. Do you drive? You should be ok.

I don't drive. But I've heard and read on a few of these forums that there's a bus that picks up students from Atlantic Ave/Barclay Center train station that takes students to the school.

I hope that's true. That would be awesome. I live in the Bronx. Queens is far enough. I'm going to see how I feel during the first few weeks to determine if I feel a car is necessary. I start work at 6:45am. So leaving Queens at 10-11 to get to the Bronx and then up the next morning already sounds like a situation I don't want to do with the MTA.

Oh yeah, the Bronx is definitely a hell of a commute! I don't think I could function after starting work at 6:45am and then going to class, so more power to you! It seems like the parking at the Queens campus might be a bit of a doozy as well. How long will it take you to get from the BX to QNS?
