Do you mean the field of nursing, or a specialty field within nursing?

I would do Home health again if they keep the working conditions acceptable.

Would I go into nursing knowing what I know now about myself and the field in general. No. I am at a point in my life where I realize other careers would have been a better match for me. And nursing today is NOT what it was 27 yrs ago when I started. As it is now, I don't care to start over in a career in my 6th decade of life so I hang in there. Work part time to maintain sanity.
Would I do critical care nursing again as my specialty? Absolutely...its been the sanest option for me. Night shift part time ICU has kept me in nursing.

Yes I would. If not for maternal child health, I would never have even gone into nursing.

Yes. Started out in med-surg and am still there, although leaning towards more progressive and critical care now.
I had no experience in the medical field when I started nursing school, so going into med-surg was the best place for me to get my skills. Now I'm certified med-surg nurse and still learning everyday.

I would absoloutly go into level III NICU again. ... just wouldn't have started in Az. Instead gone straight to Sacramento where CNA union insures that Pt. ratio's are always safe.

Absolutely love emergency dept nursing and now that I'm a case manager in the ER, its much better - I have time for teaching patients/families and helping more now.
