SUNY Downstate WHNP 2022

Hi everyone! I did not see a thread posted for the Fall 2022 start for the WHNP program. I applied to SUNY Downstate WHNP program in early September 2021 and got an email yesterday inviting me to interview with them! I am so excited but very nervous. Anyone else applied to the program? Have you heard anything back? Any previous/current students willing to give their advice/opinions? Thank you!! Hey, I interviewed on 02/04 and received my acceptance on 02/05.

Hi!! I interviewed on 2/1 and got an acceptance the same day! Im so excited.

Hi I was accepted into Suny Downstate WHNP program. I also got into Stonybrook FNP program but I didn't really want to do FNP. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

Hey guys! Congratulations on your acceptances! I’m also an incoming Fall 2022 WHNP student. Y’all should join the FB group I created “SUNY Downstate WHNP.” I’m hoping we can connect and have some sort of peer support/informational group (super helpful at my last graduate school) since our program will be all virtual.

Thanks for the invitation! I am so glad the program is mainly virtual until we get to the clinical portion. Honestly, I couldnt imagine driving to brooklyn more than 1 time a week ?

No problem! I know, I was so glad when Dr. Steinfeld said the program was virtual save for the clinic portion. I live in the Bronx so that would’ve been a trek LOL
