I will be starting in Fall 2013. I am wondering if it would be useful for me to take Medical Terminology online during the summer or a waste if time? Thanks!

If you have the option to take it and that's your only summer class, I say go for it. It's really not that difficult, just memorization and understanding of the root words, prefixes/suffixes, ect. I've taken medical termonology before, and it's very useful when getting into your A&P prereqs and also extremely useful once you start your actual nursing classes.

I found it helpful for a & p which I took later. I took med term online during a 2 week winter session.

A lot of people have found medical terminology to be extremely helpful. I planned to take it but can't afford it, so while I'm waiting for my program acceptance letter (power of positive thinking  ), I'm using a borrowed book and studying it on my own. Everybody I know who has taken it has deemed it helpful in A&P and microbiology. I'm sure it would be beneficial in the nursing program as well.
