Summer A+P I

Published

Has anyone taken Human A+P 1 over the summer? I want to take it over summer session 1 from June-August. Do you all think that is enough time for me to fully grasp the concepts? :uhoh3: I plan on working part time about 20-25 hours a week, and taking Math 111. Is anyone out there attending or thinking of attending CCBC at either Essex or Dundalk for the same course?

I'm taking API and APII this summer...but I wouldn't recommend with working, taking another course...what you have to remember, is AP isn't like any other course. I'm even quitting my part-time job for the summer because I am afraid that once I get started, it might be too overwhelming.

I took A&P II over last summer and did just fine.

I took Anatomy in 5.5 weeks last summer. I didn't have a life... but I kinda liked it because everything was so fresh in my mind for the tests. 16 week semesters are SO stinkin' long! I'm going to try Chem 1 this summer the same way...

i'm taking A&P 2 this summer... no job, no other classes.... I would definitely consider not working. I am struggling to hold an A in A&P1 right now, but I hear A&P2 is easier and more interesting. I have no life now, and I plan on having no life this summer. Have to do what you have to

You can take A & P and work...your working 20-25 hours I have seen people work fulltime and had at least 9 credits and do fine. You will be fine. I use to take classes at CCBC (every campus), I didn't take A & P there but my friend did and she was taking a CNA course at the time and has 2 kids and she did fine over the summer.

I'm taking A & P 2 this summer (starts in May) for about 12 weeks. I will miss the first day because thats the day I get back from a cruise but I will definately say that I would rather take a shorter course than a long one. A & P I was tooo long at 16 weeks. I was in the Army and didn't get out of the Army till a month after the start of the course and I was taking 3 other classes. You can do it, trust me!

Yeah, I guess it depends on what "fine" means to you. For me I settle for nothing less than an A and that's what I consider fine, but it is definitely possible, just remember to ALWAYS read ahead.

What I meant by fine is that they got A's and B's. I myself have never had a GPA lower than 3.6, and thats been since high school. Most of my friends are the same way.

I took A&P I over the summer and got an A. I wouldn't take another class at the same time. You need to do a lot of repetitive studying for this class. I have 4 children, which is a bit time consuming, so you could probably work part time and take the class. Make time for studying and concentrate on understanding the material, not just memorizing.
