I once had a sub send me literally half the class at one time. One kid complained of a headache or something, then another and another. He started off writing nurse passes for each one, then I guess gave up and sent them all down at once! I would have been mad but I can imagine how overwhelmed he was and took pity on him! :chuckle
Needless to say I gave them all a good lecture about taking advantage of a sub and "crying wolf", and told them that I am sorry for those who truly feel ill, but because of your classmates playing games you will ALL be going right back to class. (there were a couple who did appear ill that I took a quick temp on before sending them back).
I have one teacher who I consider a wonderful "gatekeeper" to my office, and somehow she has ended up with many of the hypochondriacs in her class, which works out well for me :) When she is out, her class definitely takes advantage of it!
