Hello all, I'm a first year nursing student in the Toronto area and i'm looking to find some information on possible research opportunities for students, or any tips/advice on how to go about finding these opportunities. I've done quite a few google searches with not much luck.

Thanks

Kudos for being interested in research opportunities so early in your education!

Many universities conduct research as well as teaching. The best and easiest way to get involved in research is to approach your faculty. Ask some of your favorite professors whether they are involved in research and if they would like an assistant. I guarantee you that many faculty would be overjoyed to take on a nursing student to help them - and if you can get your name on a paper, that could bode extremely well for future scholarship opportunities.

Good luck!

Another way I found some research opportunities OP is to email/call the local RPNANO and RNAO reps. They have access to many research projects. Also try the McMaster website - they run a lot of nursing trials. Good luck!:)
