Hi. Is there anyone out there that is applying to Northeastern University Boston this fall?

Did you get an interview? What have you heard about the program and interview process?

I applied to Northeastern this fall. Sent my application in late September, heard back a couple weeks later asking to come out and interview. They gave me a few dates in December and January to pick from, and the earliest I could do was in January.

As far as the interview, a former co-worker is currently in the program now, and it seems to be a bit of get to know you along with clinical based questions and talking through a critical pt you've taken care of (pharmacology, pathophys, that kind of stuff). I think you meet with both current students and have a panel interview.

Hey guys,

Did any of you guys hear anything back yet? How did you feel the interviews went?

I interviewed on a Friday back in January and they called me on the next Monday offering me a spot. I ultimately declined it since I was admitted to a different program that was a better fit.

The interview itself was pretty straightforward. The standard get to know you questions to start, why did you want to be a CRNA, why our school, etc...The clinical questions, at least for me, came from asking me about a difficult pt I had recently taken care of. They took meds that I mentioned and asked me to go deeper into what type of drugs they were, mechanism of action, intended effect. Also any therapies I described, or procedures we did they piggybacked off of that and asked more detailed questions. It wasn't bad, they were all really nice and not too bent on making you crack under pressure, but definitely wanted to know you knew what you're talking about.
