ICU Experience

  1. I haven't seen this addressed in the last 25 pages....

I spoke with an admissions counselor yeaterday at U of Scranton. She said at least 1 year ICU within the 3 years preceeding admission. I have over 10 years ICU experience, but none in the last 4-5. I am an NP and have been out of Acute Care for a while.

What has anyone else heard from other schools? I held CCRN and am currently CNOR and Certified as an NP. I could possibly work 24 hours a month in an ICU, but can't afford to return to a staff salary. Any thoughts or recommmendations are appreciated.

I would talk directly to the program director and leave admissions out of it.
