Nursing Students SRNA

Hello

Is there anyone applying, have interviewed or has been accepted for Thomas Jefferson University DNP CRNA program in Philadelphia? They are the first school in Philly to have a DNP program. I am considering applying. Any suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks.

I interviewed and was accepted there in 2014, but it was an MS program at the time. I can't imagine the interview would be much different now. We interviewed over Skype since I lived out of state. Very laid back. I think I interviewed with 3 people, all very friendly. Standard CRNA interview questions. Nothing too crazy. No test or anything like that. Don't really remember much else, which goes to show it was a pretty standard interview. Check the forums for questions typically asked at interviews.

Thank you for your response. How did you like the program?

I ended up going somewhere else - bigger school with a smaller class size..

in process of applying .. anyone with any news?

That is great you were accepted! congrats and much luck to you!!

I just applied and was interviewed. Offered a spot and took it. I figure it starts this fall and I'll graduate with a DNP before most other programs since there is a wait list on most others. Plus they are all just MSN. The interview wasn't bad itself.

Interviewing this week! How was the interview, and how soon after did you find out you were accepted?

The interview was more focused on personal questions which was surprising. I did get to walk around with a current SRNA beforehand since I was early. They offered a spot at the end of the interview and got the official email within a week. Good luck to you!

Congratulations akapterian!!! Do you mind sharing your stats? Certifications? CCRN? GPA? Years of ICU experience? Just want to see what kind of candidates they are looking for. Thanks

Much luck to you ArtandScience! I hope you get in. Please share your experience afterwards;)

4.5 years in ccu and then a level 1 trauma. I also float to 3 other icus for extra time. GPA was 3.6. Have my ccrn and ATCN. I've noticed in the last few years that less schools listed ccrn as a requirement. But I think it's a must. It definitely broadens your knowledge base rather than narrow minded 1 icu care.
