:uhoh3: Anyone out there starting at Case this coming August? Just wondering if anyone has heard when we enroll and stuff like that. I feel like time is winding down and we have loans and things to straighten out before we start. I contacted the school 2 months ago and they said they would let us know as soon as possible. Still haven't heard anything!!

great job!!! are you from cleveland, ohio? i live in cleveland and i'm considering going into crna. any advice you can give? case is a great school.

I graduated from Case in Dec, and they are a little slow on the paperwork. Don't worry - it will get there. The program directors will make sure you have everything you need.

Thanks so much for the reassurance!! When you have been out of college for 10 years, I think you forget about the process! It used to be so easy!!

I am not from Cleveland. I was on a travel job in NYC when I applied. We knew we were moving to Sandusky for my boyfriend's job so I applied to the closest school. I didn't know at the time what a great school it was and what a great reputation it has. When I started the process, I told myself if I can just get an interview, I know I can get in. My GPA is a 3.1, my GRE score was 3.1, Gre 1010, writing 4.5 and I have 10 years of all critical care. I would say my grades are very average and so is my GRE. I prayed ALOT and thought my interview went great!! Six days after my interview I got a call that I was in. I think if anyone wants it badly enough, if they can sell themselves at the interview, they have a chance. After reading all the things in this forum and being in Ohio for 6 months now, I realize how truly blessed I am to have been chosen!! I am so excited!!:lol2:

I also am starting at Case in August. I live very close to Sandusky. What clinical site did you get? I will be at Cleveland Clinic. Have a friend who is a senior at Case now. He is at Summa in Akron. I wanted to be close to Case, and my friend said he had heard of bad experiences at University. Also, with CCF being one of the top hospitals in the country, you know you will be able to work anywhere after practicing there. Are you doing anything special to prepare for school?

I will be at Cleveland Clinic too. That is great you are not far from Sandusky. Maybe we can work out a car pool or something! I chose the Cleveland Clinic for just that reason, it it s the Cleveland Clinic. Summa was too far for me. How does your friend like the program? I am studying up on some physics stuff. I have been out of school for a while and a friend of mine told me to brush up on the gas laws in physics. Since I don't remember any of it, I thought I would at least try and relearn it. I also bought a book called Duke's Anethesia Secrets. I thought I would read it just so things wouldn't be so foreign to me. I know, kinda nerdy, but it certainly can't hurt!!

Have you received your pin yet to enroll? I am really annoyed by it. I really want to get enrolled and get it taken care of. Got the book list, so I guess that is a start. Nice talking with you, can't wait to meet everyone!!

HI! I actually responded to this thread a couple of days ago but my response never posted. I don't know what happened. Where do you live? I too am at the Clinic. I wanted to be at there because of their reputation. Maybe a car pool will be in order one of these days. How does your friend like the program? I am doing a little bit of prep. Relearning physics gas laws. My friend told me to know them well. I am also looking over a book called Duke's Anethesia secrets. I am not killing myself over any of it. Just trying to prepare a little bit!! I got my pin today so I can enroll. I had to call Jack for it. He is very nice. I am so psyched to at least enroll!! I can't wait to meet everyone!!

Have you spoken with Paul Blakeley's assistant yet? She is the coordinator of the SRNA's at Cleveland Clinic. If not, email me directly at [email protected] I will give you more specifics, i.e. name, email, and phone. Have you also completed your employment application at Cleveland Clinic and sent back your contract? If not, let me know in your email, and I will give you more specifics. BTW I live in Clyde, about 18 miles southwest of Sandusky. Also, did you sign up for the intensive courses for the MSN basics, i.e. NURS443 A, B, and C? or did you just schedule them during the regular semester?
