I just did a search on this program, and while it was vague on the website, it turns out the Johns Hopkins Psych NP cert is only for people who already have an NP in another field.

I was bummed when I realized this, because this program seemed too good to be true!

Sorry, I thought you meant post master's certificate. You need to search for a full PMHNP program. Given this is a master's degree, I doubt you will find one that can be completed in one year online. You might find a one year program, or an online program, but the two together? Doubt it.

Good luck.

The American Psychiatric Nurses Association is a great resource. There is a wealth of information on their website. They provide a state by state listing of PMHNP programs.

I'm really ecstatic about starting my post masters certificate PMHNP program this summer at UTRGV. It's only 18 credit hours (will complete Spring 2019), & no capstone requirement!! I'm looking forward to being dually certified & hopefully better job opportunities in Texas!!!

I'm also looking for a post-master's psych NP cert. I have applied to Maryville but have not heard back yet. How do you like the program so far? Do they require campus visits? Do they assists with clinical placements? TIA
