ANCC Adult Gerontology Primary Care

  1. Hi all!

I just wanted to write to give everyone some hope. I graduated from my program in May of this year. I bought a house in June, got married in July and had my son (after a complicated pregnancy) in September. I had to test for the ANCC within the 90 day window off my application approval and was unable to push test back and found myself with a date that was 2 wks after the birth of my son. Needless to say I did not get much studying done.

I did maybe 10 hours of board vitals questions and went into the test with the attitude that "whatever happens happens". 2 hours and 10 minutes later they handed me my letter of congratulations.

Relax and trust yourselves. You got through a rigorous MSN or DNP program already, you know this info. I'm not saying don't prepare but I think we all psych ourselves out to the point of failure.
