All online FNP program?

I am looking for an all online FNP program. I have young children and my husband is active duty military making attending mandatory trips, often for days at a time, not doable at this time. Looking for any information or testimonials of schools you've attended or attend and if there is any I should steer clear of. Thanks!

I assume you mean that you want to find something where the classroom portion is online, and that you are aware that you will have to do months of clinical rotations for 8-12 hour shifts?

Do you mean a program where you don't have to visit the campus for a skills check-off? When I was researching programs a few years ago I believe I came across some but the names are escaping me now. Hopefully someone can help...

If you can do like one visit/semester, I would highly recommend UofMichigan/Flint. Although, it is competitive and full time students there are called "suicidals" for a good reason.

Plus, yes, 12 to 16 hours clinicals/week is bare minimum. Those who really wanted to get somewhere did twice as much and then some more (without making school know it).

Yes Klone. Thank you. I can ultilize daycare but can't be gone extended periods, such as across the country for a weekend check off. Looking for 100% online classroom portion. Thanks!

There are plenty of good quality brick and mortar programs that offer online courses with no visits. I am attending a program several states away. I put in at LEAST 18 hours of clinical a week plus another 18 in just studying/reading and assignments. Online does not always mean easier and can be quite grueling but it is convenient for those of us with young kiddos and a full time job!

There are lots of online FNP, but I think the bigger portion is clinicals, and those may be tough for you. I would try and find a brick and mortar school around your area that offers online classes.

Some of the schools may also let you take certain classes prior to being matriculated into the FNP program, so doing that may help with the work load! The program I am interested in lets you take advanced pharmacology, advanced pharm, and one other one, but the caveat is that you have to take the NP board exam within 5 years of taking them.
