Student Nurse = CNA in Atlanta?

Published

Hey guys,

I need some help here.

I'm a BSN student at a school in Honolulu, Hawaii and am looking to find a job in the medical field in Atlanta, GA for the summer of 2015 (after my 3rd semester). I'm going to be visiting Atlanta from May to August and am hoping to start building my resume/networking there so that I can find a job once I graduate.

I know that here in Hawaii student nurses can be hired as CNAs, and wanted to know if the same is true in Georgia.

Thanks for your help guys!

Check with Georgia's regulations, but I would think that if you do not have a CNA certificate that you need to take the states CNA test to get a certificate before being able to work as a CNA. If you have a Hawaii's CNA certificate you will have to probably see what you have to do to get your CNA certificate transfered to a Georgia's certificate before you can start working in Georgia.
