i took the nclex-rn on yesterday and it stopped at 265q. once i saw it go past 75 i lost all concentration. i had a good bit of priority questions, alot of meds, 2 sata's, no calculations, teaching and a ton of infection control. i dont know what to think. when i took the nclex-pn in april, i had a much better feeling. i saw a few knowledge based questions and really starting freaking out because i heard if you see those, you know you're doing horrible. but then i figured if i was doing that bad, it would have stopped by now. i guess im just wondering if anyone else had sort of the same scenario. i had no idea what direction the test was going in. the priority questions were super-hard. who do you see first and whose call would you return first. i swear there were 2-3 right answers.
when i took the pn exam, it was a saturday and by monday morning i had a number. i figured since i took it early in the morning, it should have been posted by now. now i feel i may have failed. ugh.... i tried to distract myself with other things, but i end right back on the computer..... :typing
and comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
shawn

:hngon: Hang in there. Does your state participate in quick results? Just because it is late being posted, does not always mean failure. It could just be a paperwork issue. If no results in a few days you may want to give the BON a call and see if they have something for you. Good luck and keep us posted.
Thanks, im just scared to death. 2yrs of nursing school came down to one 3.5hr test that tells me if im competant enough to practice as a RN. I will continue to pray.....

I haven't taken my nclex yet so i am not really sure what that means, but i would try to relax for now because there is no telling if you failed of passed just by the amount of questions you had so you just have to sit and wait. I know you can check the website to see if you have a license number about two days after your test if you passed and thats how you know soon if you have passed. However, if you check the website and there is no license number there after a few days (meanin you probably failed) how long to you have to wait before you know for sure that you failed?? They send you a letter by mail right?

i took the exam on tuesday, which means i should know something tomorrow. its early thursday morning now, so i should know something by noon i guess. yes .you get a letter in the mail. when i took my pn exam, my license came in the mail on tuesday(i took the exam on a saturday). but it was also an off season. i took it in april and most classes graduate in may and december. so its a possibility that its just a processing thing. i guess im trying to have a little hope..... still kinda hard though.......
Well, i finally got my results... I failed at 265.... Now i have no idea what to do... I need something that is interactive in order for me to study.... Just reading a book isnt going to help.... Didnt help in nursing school either.... Do you know of anyone that has an interactive study/review??? Im not devastated yet... Im just floored.... I tried Saunders for a while... Everything just became overwhelming.... I think a lot of my problems on the NCLEX were the strategies for dissecting the question..... If anyone can give me some advise I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
