annajade28: some of the hospitals are closed for trainings/volunteer because of the issue i tried applying for volunteer or even training but they would always tell me that because of the issue they're no longer give trainings. :crying2: it was so sad. *sigh*

actually there is! DOH will be having a measles drive campaign this Apr. I applied as a volunteer nurse, I'lle be the vaccinator! :nurse: :redpinkhe But of course nothing beats a paid hosp nurse job, but for now....

so sorry for the late reply guys... so busy these past few months, i did not bother to log in here. To hyds_rn, zenkiboi007 if it's not too late...

What I did,

went to RHU, asked the medical officer if they have any volunteer slots.
went to city health office
went to local doh office

i hear there will be a project this october, just inquire :cool: :redbeathe:nurse:

This nursing overload back there in the PH will only get worse. Just look at the number of new RNs who pass in the biannual exam. You're nearing the one million mark with not enough jobs to go around. That's why even volunteering will be next to impossible.

Hi! Do they have anywebsites i can look to? OR do I have to directly to the doh office? Btw how was the measles vaccination exp.? :) o and also do you happen to know the new program in october you were talking about? Thanks :)

if they decided to close those volunteer programs then they should find ways to give jobs to nurses
