Hi all, so I have beat myself to death over my relapse, and now it's time to get off my depressed rump and take ACTION! I am attending meetings again and was wondering if anyone knew of any healthcare related 12 step meetings in and around the Cincinnati area. I want to explore as many types of meetings as possible, that way I can make sure I am healing myself WELL. Thanks for any advice in advance, you all are a LIFELINE!

I'm not sure about your state, but where I'm, as I wait for a contract from my monitoring program, I called them and asked for directions to different nurses support meetings, I was given a list to choose from. Maybe you can try calling your monitoring program and ask, you might not need to give your name. Good luck, I wish you well, you are doing the right thing by seeking for support.

Hi there. Good for you taking action. That's the best thing to do. Beating yourself up doesn't help. I did that for a long time and it was a lonely road.
Try Google Search for Caduceus, support groups for healthcare professionals with substance abuse. I'm not sure of they have them in OH but they do in several states.
Hang in there, and keep us posted.

I am in the area too, I have not been able to find any groups for healthcare professionals. Don't beat yourself up, you fell. Pick yourself up and take care of it.
