Starting as an LPN

Is it worth it to get my LPN first, or should I just keep going with the RN prereqs & go straight to RN?

A lot of the nurses I work with are telling me just go to RN & not worry about LPN, but I want to get experience as an LPN then move on to RN sometime in the next few years

Also, I am dreading all those English classes you have to take for RN so I am trying to avoid those as well for now, lol

I did practical nursing first and was glad I did because I've learned so much. I hear all the time that I should've gone for RN first but I wanted to know that I could do it at this level before I invested time and $$ into and RN program that I might not be able to finish!!

Good luck!!

Yeah that is what I am thinking...

I would hate to pay for the RN program and half way through realize I was not ready lol

Thanks for the response.
