Stanford University Acute Care Transitional (ACT) Program 2025

Published

Hi guys!

I was looking into this program and wondering if any alumni could give some advice about the application process. I was curious what type of applicants were the recruitment team looking for: bachelor's v. associates, experience, etc. I was also wondering if anyone had an example of a resume/cover letter and if they answered the questions at the end of their application with short explanations or long ones (if anyone is curious what I'm referencing, Stanford will ask about 3-4 questions towards the end of your application that are 'free responses'. Typically they would ask things like: what working at Stanford means to you; how your experience relates to the current position posted; what quality nursing care looks like; etc.)

I really want to work in a hospital as a nurse and have no experience as an RN working in an acute setting (currently an Infusion nurse working for a private company). It would be a dream-come-true to work for Stanford, but I'm unsure how to tidy up my application and interviewing process so I may accomplish this goal. If anyone has any great advice it would be so very helpful!

Thanks, again!
