St Thomas University FNP program

Published

There's a few threads on St Thomas' BSN program, but nothing about the online FNP program. Has anyone attended? Anyone planning to attend? Any thoughts?

I am currently in this program. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PROGRAM. I have experienced multiple online programs for different schools in the past (both nursing and non-nursing) and this school is by far the worst. There are so many other programs out there. Don’t let the “low cost” be the deciding factor as it has been for many. The only reason I am still there is because I feel like I’m stuck and too far in to give it up now. I will have wasted so much money if I stop now and simply can’t afford to have more loans. This is how close to every single one of my classmates feel. There is zero communication. Exams do not follow the syllabus. The structure of the tests and how they are graded are set up for failure. If you question anything , your lucky to get a response , and if you do , the answer is .....”I have no control over that” or “nothing I can do” . Even when questioning why an exam did not cover the designated material per the syllabus , your left on your own. No help. Another example : pathophysiology. Exams are each worth 18 percent of final grade (again not in syllabus) ... covering 16 chapters and only 20 questions. 30 minutes. Oh and if u receive below an 83, you fail the course. Pharmacology 20 questions in 20 minutes. Covering , yet again, material that is different from syllabus. This program should not be accredited. I haven’t encountered one pleasant or helpful person at the school either. Stay away and go elsewhere.
