St. Barnabas Med. Center NJ

Published

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any expirence with St. Barnabas in Livingston, NJ? My class recently went on a tour of the Burn Center and during lunch we took an inpromtu tour of the ER. It was beautiful and the people seemed very nice. My one problem was that I didn't see any male RNs. It was not very busy and there were only like 5 female RNs around. I truly perfer a balanced work place, I'm not trying to get dates or anything!!!! :rotfl:

What do you think? Have you had a good expirence there? Know anyone who did or did not? All responses welcome! :)

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

St Barnabas has a great reputation...ER's bussiest time is usually 3PM-3AM in my neck of the woods. Ask to meet with their ER nurses to discuss challenges of ER nursing and potential career.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Thanks for the advice NRSKaren. I have an interview for later this month and am very excited. Theres so many places I could see myself working (so many hospitals) that its getting overwhelming!

Good Luck with your interview! What area are you looking into? I had an interview with Monmouth Medical over the summer (which is also apart of St. Barn's) and it was OK. I am looking into Livingston now. Wish you well and let me know how it goes!

GottaBean-thanks! I'm interviewing for the ED. St. Barnabas is my 2nd choice (a trauma center is my 1st) but I'm still really hoping to make a great impression! Let me know how your job search goes too!
