I went to Barnes & Noble today.. (it's a day off) I just wanted to look around and see what was out there. I popped over to the nursing section and I found this thing called SPARK CHARTS.... And belive it or not they're pretty cool!!!!!!! They had one for nursing and medical terminology, I bought both!!!
They're a pretty good quick reference tool. Lots of good info...
Just thought I would pass it along!!!!!

Yes those are so awesome.
They have a lot of different subjectrs to choose from.
I collected everything from just one page that focuses on the hand or dental anatonomy to a page that has info on basic nutrition facts and I use them for patient teaching. Its great when you can show someone what doesn't work and why. I also use it to clarify my documentation when I chart.
I punched holes in mine and keep them at the desk, eveybody uses them now and then. And they last...thank God for lamination.
Also try quickstudy.com and Permacharts.com I use those too, I found those up at the bookstore of our University here in town.
I am looking for one that has lab values, have you seen anything like that ?????

The spark chart I got is the Nursing one and it is laminated and hole punched already. It opens up and is 2 sided. It has some of the basic/common lab values on it as well as other assessment data, normals, and lots of other general nsg info. I almost bought the pharmacology one and may at a later date. It think it will be well worth the $4.95!

go to the bottom right of this page click on other sparkcharts....you will get an alpha listing...didnt see one for labs, but the nursing one is listed...didnt check the price; and of course you would have to laminate it yourself....but maybe you could have your local BN order them for you.....good luck
