Hi ALL!!!
Sorry if I seem a bit wierd, I won't usually be, I promise.....I just found out today that I passed my NCLEX-PN and I am thrilled.....like, up in the clouds thrilled.....It has been a hard road. I graduated in Dec. of 2005, my hubby got out of the Army on a medical discharge in Feb of 2006, we moved back home from Alaska to Michigan........We just lost our youngest son to SIDS last September.....so you can see I have felt I would never get here....but I am. And I am happy, and feeling some hope for the first time in a long time. I wanted to know if there are any nurses on here in the Berrien county area, or close to it???? Just wanting to talk, see whats a good place to start, all that stuff. Hope I get to know all of you soon....
Love,
Emilie

I don't live there currently but I am from Cass County. I am going to nursing school in Lansing and will be done May 08. I am hoping to move back to the Kalamazoo area when I am done.
Congrats on passing!

From a fellow Michigander I want to congraulate you on passing the NCLEX!! I myself was raised and currently live in Berrien county. I have worked at Lakeland, Butterworth in Grand Rapids, and Memorial hospital so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
I'm so sorry that you have lost your precious baby. We had a girl where I work who lost her son to SIDs in January. It was so sad. Everyone on the unit was depressed for weeks. We still talk about her and think about her even though she moved right after it happened. God Bless you. Best wishes as you start your new career...and welcome back.

My first job was in Battle Creek. Community Hospital then it became Battle Creek Health System.
Thanks for replying guys...I am hoping to work at Lakeland either here in Niles or in St. Jo. Lakeland has been such a huge part of our life, including the very special second VBAC of Logan and also his death.....Thank you for your condolences.....I am so excited to start working and doing something to make a difference, I am hoping it will start to heal my heart.....

Hi Emilie, I was just reading through some older threads and came accross yours. Just curious as to how you are doing back in Michigan and if you found a job okay? I hope all is going well for you!
