Hello, have anyone graduated or are currently enrolled at SCTC in Griffin, Ga. ? I applied for the PN and ADN program and I'm scheduled to take my teas test February 17th. I'm really nervous because every school is so competitive in Georgia. Been out of college for 5 years so I'm hoping I get a good score on my teas test and be accepted.

I'm currently enrolled at Southern Crescent finishing up my pre reqs.. I know a girl that is currently in the ADN program. I am applying for the ADN program this summer! I haven't taken my TEAS test yet but I've been studying quite a bit for the past two months on and off! Best of luck!!
Oh great. Thanks same to you!
Thank you!

I am going to apply to their nursing program as well. Finishing up my prerequisites that are required for the Bachelor of Nursing at UWGA. Applying to that school as well. Haven't taken the TEAS yet, but will as soon as I finish the A&P II (redoing all of my science courses because they expired from my previous degrees). Do you know the scores and GPA of those that have been accepted into their program?
The girl that I know got accepted with a 3.8 GPA & TEAS score of 74.
Thank you for replying! I have two previous degrees and an overal GPA of 3.6, but prerequisite gpa of 4.0. Haven't taken teas yet. I'm nervous about that! Do you know if you have to have your CNA before application?
And is it overall gpa or just prerequisite gpa that they look at? I feel with multiple degrees the overall puts me at a disadvantage because I have 120+ credits being weighted in there instead of 30+ for the undergrad courses.
I replied to your comment about CNA on another forum, but no you do not have to be a CNA.. I'm pretty sure they base it off your pre req GPA, but don't quote me on that. Karen Lee is the advisor and you can call and ask her or set up an appointment with her and she will let you know for sure. Rather you have a 3.6 or 3.8, I don't think you will be at a disadvantage.. The other forum you commented on, if you start at the beginning of the thread, you can see where they commented their gpa/teas score and later in the comments they said if they got accepted or not. I'm fairly certain all of them that commented got it.. One had like a 3.2 GPA..
Thank you so much for replying again!! Hopefully we will both get accepted to their program!
I do not have a 3.0 I have to retake my sciences so hopefully my gpa will come up. My goal is to get a high score on the teas test. Regarding CNA it seems to be requirements for the LPN program but seems like a Patient Care Technician should override that requirement.
What is your GPA? I know two girls that are in the LPN Program. I know they were already a CNA but I don't believe it is a requirement. They have core requirements just like the RN program. They have a different entrance exam though, it's not the TEAS.
I hope we all get in! I know it's super competitive. I know there is only 30 seats available..
