I am so excited, I can barely stand it. 2 years from now I will look back and know I made the right decision.

How do you like the program so far?

Yes I'm currently in the program right now. I honestly would not recommend this program . My coworker is attending a local University that's a brick-and-mortar program and their program is essentially all online it is a bit cheaper and they find clinical sites. At South you will have to teach yourself everything, find all your clinical sites, and there seems to be little to no support from South. If those things do not bother you then South may not be a bad option. Attending a campus instead of the online May be more beneficial. I do think a couple things that South is doing is good though, they are requiring a competency-based exam in patho, physical exam, and pharmacology. Basically if you do not pass the exam they give you a second chance to remediate after a five-week review. And if you do not pass you can no longer attend the program. Also they were bought out by a nonprofit organization.

Hi,

Just recently started coming back to this site. But to answer your question I have 5 weeks left with South University. A lot of changes have occurred in the school but like I said in my initial post every school is what you make it. Once I am done with school I will post more, but I still go there and only have 5 weeks left!:cat:

Wow time flies! Congrats you've basically made it. Well I'm really leaning towards it. And maybe I can get in contact with you about the best sites to try obtain my preceptors if you don't mind.

Carmen, supposedly they are going to make some drastic changes. I personally would not recommend the program. The tests are inconsistent, and do not cover the material being covered. Do yourself a favor and research for a reputable program.
