South College, Nashville

Hello everyone, I am considering the ASN RN program at South College in Nashville. Anybody recently attended and graduated from there? If so, how was it? I would really appreciate all honest answers and with details. Thank you.

I graduated from there in 2020 and had a great experience.

Really? Wow that's awesome, congrats. You mind giving me some tips. Like what to expect? Was it hard? How are the instructors?

Honestly, just study, but don't overdo it. The pharm professor I had always made it a point to tell us if we didn't know it by now, we wouldn't know it about people trying to cram right before the exam was to start.  Two quarters before I graduated they implemented the ATI testing, that sucked but I feel like it definitely helped me pass NCLEX. The program is good and I was clearly prepared for the NCLEX, which is really all that matters. I will say the clinical sites sucked but that may have been because of COVID, but it definitely felt like vandy and Belmont got better clinical sites especially when it comes time for your preceptorship. Overall I feel like I am a safe nurse and was as prepared as I could be as a new graduate nurse.

OK OK thank you so much for that. I have 2 classes to do next month I think patho and another class. So I guess if I do good in those then I can go on to the cohort. I'm really excited to start though and get through it. But congrats again, it's good to hear from somebody that actually went through it so I appreciate it.
