LPN info

U.S.A. South Carolina

Published

My friend currently lives in Las Vegas but is looking to possibly move to South Carolina sometime next year. They had a few questions so I thought I'd post them here. Such as:

- The average salary for an LPN in South Carolina. Good/Bad?

- Are LPNs used in South Carolina emergency rooms?

- Do LPNs receive sign-on bonuses in South Carolina hospitals?

Thanks for any comments/information.

PS: I was also wondering about the salary range for RNs in South Carolina?

The only question I can answer is the LPN in ER one: I work at Lexington Medical Center (just at the ER desk - I'm just a student), but I do know that they no longer allow LPN's to work the ER. Not sure why.

Specializes in ORTHOPAEDICS-CERTIFIED SINCE 89.

I've had 2 recent interactions with the Lexington ER, Mama and my sister. I must say I am VERY pleased! Now I worked 22 years at the BIG facility in Columbia and their ER while very busy, and very needed as it's a level III, but they do lack in the friendliness and professionalism at LMC. I'd go to the BIG place for trauma or brain stuff but LMC WOW!

Goodmorning everyone!

I am an LPN from NY with 30 yrs nursing experience in an acute setting.

I have been an Operating Room Scrub Nurse for the past 8 yrs.......

I am contemplating a move to S.C. and was wondering about the starting salary for LPN'S might be.

Any and ALL help is greatly appreciated.....

Have a nice day ....everyone..
