My Wife, an LPN, and I are planning a move South. Where not 100% sure. It is too competitive, costly, and the programs are not flexible up North for working student's.

The plan is we are moving South. Since we work in the healthcare field finding work won't be too much of a challenge.

My question is are there any programs in SC that are point based not lottery based and are a public university or college?

Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks!

So is she planning to go from LPN-ADN

I think most of the ADN or LPN-ADN bridge programs I’ve seen are points based in my area (SC/GA border). The BSN gets a lot more competitive.

Only 2 or 3 BSN programs in the State.

My Wife and I are goal is for us both to get our RN. My Wife looking to do the LPN to RN or advanced placement in a ADN/ASN program. Me to just be accepted into an RN program.

If you are wanting to do the ADN track or bridge, I’m not sure you’ll find a University that meets your needs (price, entrance requirements, etc.). That’s if you find a University at all that offers an ADN

I think a tech school program is the way to go. There are many, but it just depends on the area you are moving to. From what I’ve seen, they are mainly based on a merit system (points).

I have not seen very many universities (if any) that offer ADN or bridge programs anymore. I think they are mainly focused on BSN and MSN...but maybe you’ll have some luck finding one.

Best of luck to you!

HGTC has an LPN-RN bridge that is completely points based. It’s a 3 semester program.
