Took the Introductory Sociology CLEP this morning with success!! Needed a 50 for credit ... got a 72 (out of 80 possible). Woo hoo! And the best thing ... this was my last gen. ed. requirement! Now it is ONLY that CPNE standing between me and "GN" status.
I used a TCN Sociology study guide for this one, as well as instacert.com and petersons.com. Yes, once again, I over-studied. LOL!! Is anyone surprised by this at this point?

Hello
First of all congratulations on passing. I'm about to start my way to becoming a RN. I'm a LPN. I have to take Sociology and Health Safety before i can apply to EC is this true. Is it possible do take Sociology without being part of TCN.
Hopefully you can tell me the route you took. Thanks
I bought a used TCN guide from eBay, as well as using practice exams on instacert.com and petersons.com. There is information on taking CLEP tests here: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html
You can enroll in EC before you take those, but it would be better to do as many exams as you can before you enroll so that your annual enrollment date is pushed back -- otherwise you have to pay your annual $440 student services fee sooner rather than later.
