So I took the ATI Practice Test online

Published

And, overall, I got an 85%. I did exceptional in all subjects except for the Science. On the Science I got a big, fat 55.6%. I couldn't believe it. On the Mc-Graw sample Science tests, I got a 72% on teh first and an 87% on teh second. I think it's b/c Mc-Graw has more A&P questions on it than the practice ATI test did.

Soooo....I'm taking the TEAS test tomorrow and I'm wondering how this will impact me. The ATI practice test only had 18 Science questions and I know that hte actual ATI test will have 30, so hopefully that will help me.

Anyone with similar experience? That is, do better on the actual ATI TEAS test than on the ATI sample test?

How much do schools look at your science score? My college transcript science grades are all As and Bs and my GPA is good.

I need some confidence-boosting here.

Lastly, what would you recommend I study MOST for science, since I'll be taking it tomorrow.

Thank you!!

To be honest english was the hardest for me and some of the reading was also challenging. the math is the same as the practice guide. and the science is pretty basic if you know a bunch of broad stuff.

I got 65% on the science portion of the online test, and the next day took the teas. I got 82% on the science portion of the actual test, so I found it easier than the online practice test.

This is very encouraging to hear. I really hadn't expected to score so low on the science portion of the ATI practice test. I scored 100% in Reading, 96.3% in Math, 55.6% in Science, and 81.8% in English. I would have to think that Nursing Schools are going to want a high Science score.

Like I said, my college GPA is 3.5 and I received As and Bs in all my science classes in college, so I'm *hoping* that if I do do poorly on the science portion, they'll still let me into the school.

I've studied the science stuff like crazy. It has been 6.5 years since taking A & P I and II and Micro., so if I don't make it in this time around, I'll have to go back to square one and re-take all of them because they'll expire. It's been even longer since taking Chem and I never had to take Physics (although I've studied it for the TEAS). Upon reviewing, I remember the A & P pretty well, but Chem and Physics don't come to me as naturally.

Oh, I hope this works out! It would really mean a lot to me.

I scored much higher on the actual TEAS (93%), than I did on the practice exams that I took. I used the ATI study guide and the Kaplan guide to brush up on the science. Good luck to you.

I just took the TEAS last weekend. I thought the science was ridiculous; I only had one anatomy question, a majority of them were on stuff I probably learned in elementary school! There were multiple questions about rocks, tetonic plates, clouds, etc. Personally, I think they should test on more nursing-based sciences.

I totally agree.
