Hello OB thread (excited to say that lol)
After 6 dreadful months on med-surg, I'm finally starting on postpartum tomorrow!!!!! I can't even express how excited I am! I've always wanted this! :heartbeat *jumping for joy*
Any advice is welcome :)

Congrats!!! It is nothing better than leaving a place where you are miserable and getting a fresh start somewhere else.

Good luck! My floor is crazy (but so much fun) in its own special way - I wouldn't trade it for anything right now! I hope that you have a similar experience!

Congratulations! I will be starting on a LDRP unit in a few weeks and I am very excited as well! Good luck!
Just to give an update...
I've been training for almost a month and I love it! Learning lots of new information, and it's definately a change from med-surg but a good one! I have trained to be "stork nurse" which is the nurse taking care of baby for the first couple hours of life. I am now learning the routine of the floor. I'm really enjoying learning how to help mom adjust to motherhood and take care of baby. Even though it gets busy during the day, I actually have a chance to pee, eat lunch, and grab snacks...something I never got to do before. I'm still so happy and greatful that I was able to make this switch!
